Wayne Stanger

Senior Consultant

Wayne Stanger has 40 years of experience in natural resources planning, restoration, and management with a degree in Agriculture/Agronomy from Purdue University. Wayne has the expertise and experience to assist private landowners, governmental agencies, and conservation organizations and groups to wisely plan, implement improvements, and manage their natural resources. His experience includes consulting with residential, commercial, and industrial landowners in both the rural and urban landscape. Wayne can consult on a wide range of issues:

Wayne's early career was with USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service "NRCS". His last position was "Technical Services - Team Leader" for 12 counties in northeastern Indiana. He managed, supervised, and coordinated a team of soil conservationists, civil engineers, and technicians to provide technical assistance to the field staff on complex engineering and soil and water conservation issues. After leaving the NRCS Wayne was employed/contracted by a leading Envirnomental Consulting firm to provide his expertise. Most recently Wayne has served as a "Field Technical Advisor" to implement a Great Lakes Commission Sediment Reduction Grant through the Elkhart River Restoration Association, Inc.

Colby Stanger

Design & Project Manager

Colby Stanger manages and implements restoration projects that range from constructed wetlands to native landscape and reforestation projects. Colby has the unique experience and background of being a contractor for constructing many environmental restoration projects. Colby is skilled in construction and installation practices for storm water management, stream and shoreline bank stabilization, bioengineering techniques, ponds, and erosion control. He has experience managing and implementing restoration projects for private landowners, corporations, non-for-profit organizations, and various government entities. Along with Project Management, Colby's technical skills include eight years of experience operating large equipment for major excavation and construction projects, vegetation removal, native plant and seed installation, and planting trees for reforestation and wildlife habitat.

Design & Project Manager

JW Stanger brings the professional design capability, large scale Project Management experience, as well as many technical skills to the company.

JW graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in 2004, following in 2009 he earned his Professional Engineer's License. He has experience in designing runoff infiltration systems, sediment basins, and water management systems which meet Indiana Department of Environmental Management "IDEM" standards.

JW has worked on several large construction projects in both Indiana and Illinois allowing him to refine his ability to build great relationships with various local, state and federal agencies, subcontractors, suppliers, as well as private owners, minimizing potential problems. JW has managed construction and installation of drainage culverts, stream bank stabilization, erosion control best management practices, as well as retention and detention basins. JW has experience working with IDEM to re-route streams.

JW is proficient in project scheduling, the use of GPS Rover and GPS Machine Control processes and using this equipment to prepare technical drawings and documentation. JW has the capability to create an existing 3D Surface Model of an area, modify the model to match all design criteria, and use the new design 3D Surface Model to physically lay out the project. Using Microsoft Project, JW can create and maintain very elaborate Critical Path Method "CPM" Schedules.
